Visual Commentary — Anti-war artwork about oil, power and peace

Anti-war artwork showing a peace dove held by an oil-covered hand — visual commentary on oil, power and global conflict
Oil, Power & Peace — Art by Erik Ziegler exploring war, oil dependency and the collapse of peace.

This anti war artwork is part of my Visual Commentary series, created in response to the recent escalation between the United States, Israel, Iran and Lebanon. It explores how oil and power shape what we call peace.

We are witnessing the end of calm, as dialogue gives way to forces willing to destroy everything to take what is not theirs. Peace is getting dirtier, weaker, emptier by the day, while we keep looking away in the middle of a war that is no longer cold, but brutally dirty and real.

Those who depend, those who obey, those without power…are the ones who fall under the insatiable weight of imperialism. You are already part of it. War has reached your doorstep, threatening the illusion of consumption the very system that tied us to the same forces now using us as currency to destroy, to kill, and to govern through fear and deception.
No war.
